E. E. C. and it’s sub sites, is an online Christian networking service, catering to Christian communities, World wide. We screen our clients through many layers of "filters" to exclude individuals that do not adhere to our "Articles Of Faith" (placed on our home page). For example, our "Member Policy", does not recognize members based on their race, color or ethnicity. We are committed to respect and protect your personal privacy. Our Privacy Policy is explained below:

Information Collection and Use

Information Collection
E. E. C. is the sole owner of the information collected on [ABOVE SITES]. E. E. C. collects information from our Christian Clients (The application form). To reach this point, you must click on "Join Us" on the "Home page" and after reading "Our Agreement" and approving it, then you will be directed to fill out the application.

Application / Registration
In order to use this Web site, a user must first complete the registration form. During registration a client is required to give us his/her contact information (such as name and email address). We use this information to contact the user about services on our site for which s/he has expressed interest. It is not necessary for the client to provide demographic /race information (such as income level or race / ethnicity) or a social security number. However it is required that the client select his / her user name and password along with identifying a form of payment (such as credit card or e-checking), online or offline (by mail or in some cases by fax). 

Information Use
We do not use the collected information to share, sell or distribute in any manners or forms with other entities online or offline. The personal information of the clients are stored in our secure data base and it is used solely for purposes of: identification, billing disputes, verification and or authentication. Since our establishment in May of 1995 until now, we have not had even one case of break in or stolen personal identification of the members.
 
Information format:
We store the collected information through cookies, and/or otherwise via application to create a personal profile of our users. A profile is a dynamic page with or without a user’s picture that uses a partial stored information (without certain private / personal information). And we keep one profile per one individual user that details their wanted information and viewing preferences. Consequently, collected information is tied to the users personally identifiable information so other members can make certain determinations if the particular member should be contacted or not, User’s visit to our Web site, does not constitute direct or indirect marketing / promotions. We do not share your profile with other third parties.

Cookies
A cookie is a piece of data stored on the user’s computer tied to information about the user.  Usage of a cookie is in no way linked to any personally identifiable information while on our site. We use session ID cookies. For the session ID cookie, once users close the browser, the cookie simply terminates. 
Cookies are used for log in, access to chat room and restrict email privileges. By setting a cookie on our site, users would not have to log in a password more than once up to 25 to 30 minutes in some cases, thereby saving time while on our site. If users reject the cookie, they may still use our site

Third Party Links
The links appearing on our Web sites are delivered to users only as a courtesy. The  Information about users’ visit to this site, such as number of times they have viewed an ad (but not user name, address, or other personal information), can not be used to serve ads to users on this site.

Special Offers and Updates
We send all new members a welcoming email to verify password and username. Established members will occasionally receive information on products, services, special deals, and a newsletter. Out of respect for the privacy of our users we present the option to not receive these types of communications. Please see the Choice and Opt-out sections.

Monthly Newsletter
Newsletter is used on a monthly basis to inform the members. We send such a letter to the 
name of the user via his/her email address.

Service Announcements
On rare occasions it is necessary to send out a strictly service related announcement. For instance, if our service is temporarily suspended for maintenance we might send users an email. Generally, users may not opt-out of these communications, though they can deactivate their account. However, these communications are not promotional in nature. 

Customer Service
We communicate with users on a regular basis to provide requested services and in regards to issues relating to their account we reply via email or phone, in accordance with the users wishes.

Sharing Legal Disclaimer
Though we make every effort to preserve user privacy, we may need to disclose personal information when required by law wherein we are served with subpoena on Governmental, criminal or civil action in accordance to current judicial proceeding.

We do not share aggregated demographic information with our partners or our advertisers. This is not linked to any personally identifiable information.

We do not partner with other third party service providers, except that our connection is through Time Warner (AOL), and Verio, hosts our "dedicated servers", in a secure, locked up environment.

Business Transitions
In the event  E. E. C. goes through a business transition, such as a merger, being acquired by another company, or selling a portion of its assets, users’ personal information will, in most instances, be part of the assets transferred. Users will be notified via email, prominent notice on our Web site for 30 days, prior to a change of ownership or control of their personal information. If as a result of the business transition, the users’ personally identifiable information will be used in a manner different from that stated at the time of collection they will be given choice consistent with our notification of changes section.

Choice/Opt-out
Our users are given the opportunity to ‘opt-out’ of having their information used for purposes not directly related to our site at the point where we ask for information. For example, our "agreement/application" form has an ‘opt-out’ mechanism so users, can keep their email address off of our lists by simply not joining.

Tell-A-Friend (referral program)
If a user elects to use our referral service for informing a friend about our site, we ask them for the friend’s user name and password. Upon confirmation, both the user and the friend will receive an additional one month free.

Security
This Web site takes every precaution to protect our users’ information. When users submit sensitive information via the Web site, their information is protected both online and off-line. When our registration/application form asks users to enter sensitive information (such as credit card number and/or date of birth), that information is encrypted and is protected with the best encryption software in the industry –"Verisign Inc. While on a secure page, such as our application form, the lock icon on the bottom of Web browsers such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer becomes locked, as opposed to unlocked, or open, when users are just ‘surfing’. While we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also do everything in our power to protect user-information off-line. All of our users’ information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, administration, our billing supervisor or customer service representative) are granted access to personally identifiable information. Our employees must use password-protected screen-savers when they leave their desk. When they return, they must re-enter their password to re-gain access to user information. Furthermore, ALL employees are kept up-to-date on our security and privacy practices. Every quarter, as well as any time new policies are added, our employees are notified and/or reminded about the importance we place on privacy, and what they can do to ensure our users’ information is protected.
